The mission of the Tactical Family
My mission is to share experiences and discoveries. From organizing to relationship insights, from home-schooling tips to spiritual thoughts, We hope to share what we have learned with other parents like us that are looking for answers, help or just need to know that they are not alone out there.
My Story
It has been twenty years since my husband and I started our family. If you had told me back then that I would have a website and would be asked for advice about child rearing and being a mom/wife I would have laughed until my sides hurt. I had always dreamed of being a mom and having a lot of kids, but to be honest, really had no idea how to do it. It has certainly been a roller-coaster ride of learning along the way!
I was raised in a Christian home of nine children. My public school days ended early and I was home-schooled through high school.
I now have children that range from ages 19 to 1 year old. The challenges are endless but I rely a lot on the faith I have developed over the years and I attack each day after spending time with my God asking Him for His guidance.
The inspiration for not only this website but for the way we run our home is my husband. Eddy is a life-long responder and for many years commanded a tactical response unit. This was not a world I was familiar with and so learning how to be a "military wife" of sorts was quite challenging until I took the time to understand the world in which my husband operated. Everything was tactical. Everything was strategy. Everything was mission-oriented. Everyone respected rank and chain of command.
It was when I took these things and applied them all to how we ran our home that I began to see real results followed by real blessing. Our family began to operate as a unit, and so, you are now seeing the result.
